GREG'S STORY

I’ve spent the last 30 years in executive management. I knew the ins and outs of business, but I’ve also learned money isn’t everything. I needed something that excited me. That's when I discovered drones. I loved seeing the world from a new perspective. When I realized I could turn a hobby into a business, I decided to get my FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. Doing so requires a person to pass the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge exam, no easy task for someone with no previous aviation experience, but I studied, hard, and made it happen. Once certified, I started my own aerial photography business. Within a couple of years, I was asked to assist others in preparing for their FAA Part 107 Exam by creating online courses for colleges. My courses are now available at multiple colleges around the U.S., but I didn't stop there. I wanted to make them available to the general public, so I formed Innovative Drone Institute, a division of my original company and produced a Part 107 Remote Pilot Prep Course available to anyone in the U.S.
